It is gradually happening, slowly and slowly it's getting acceptance. Finding it's way into our lives, leaving the darkness and sadness of where it rightfully belongs and occupying the brightness and joys of our world.
WHAT IS IT?? You may ask ...
It is the lust in our souls!! The new but very popular feeling and desire to please the world. It is new to some of us but it has long been in existence. This feeling/desire can make or mar we humans but I am not talking of how it can make us today. Today I am talking about the trends it has brought into our lives. The trends this desires have forced some people to accept as the truth and what is right. Oh Lord help us!!
It is confusing how all of a sudden the ways and teachings of the generations before us have been swept under the carpet and hidden away from accessible book shelves. I am talking about those teachings that prohibit theft, unnecessary killing, fornication/adultery etc.
Our generation has forgotten what it TRULY means to Love and be Loved.
In today's world, a lady dares not say no to sex from her boyfriend else she's seen as a "small girl" or that she doesn't love him. Since when does sex mean love??
Sex is a thing of the body and love is of the heart and mind. Even our books teach us that the sole purpose of sex is to bring another body into the world i.e procreation. When our fathers and mothers realised they were in love, they got married! OR they got married to find love and bear children.
But NO our generation is "new school" and "civil" and "social" and "modern" and "whatever the media calls it this days". it has become so common that I fear for what is yet to come if this is seen as just the tip of the iceberg and not the real deal itself.
I know in this age and time we are only prone to temptations, but three things I always keep in mind are;
(1) what differentiates we humans from animals is CHOICE, it's a gift from God and it means we can do whatever we like. What people say or think can only distract us for a little while and that's if we let it be.
(2) faith and religion hold many answers, let's explore them .
(3) let our conscience, morals and values sink into us because if they were wrong, then our parents were wrong, and if our parents were wrong then we shouldn't have been born.
There can never be love where there is immorality, they are from two different universe, one is our beautiful EARTH and the other is an ILLUSION.
